I thought we were on top then from then on in.

"We were unlucky not to score, I can't them creating much apart from the free-kick and we penned them in for quite a bit of the game in my opinion, it felt comfortable in the second half, we just need to find a way to score some goals.

"It has been a disappointing result, but a very enjoyable and positive week, we should beat Belgium and got something out of that Switzerland game, but the performances were promising."

Xherdan Shaqiri, who looks to be the match winner, is replaced by Noah Okafor with 15 minutes of the contest remaining.

Shaqiri proved he still has it with his performance out there this evening.

Evan Ferguson comes as deep as the halfway line to get a touch of the ball.

It is hard to see him ending that goal drought I alluded to earlier as the Republic of Ireland just can't get him into the game.
